Haxey is a village and civil parish within North Lincolnshire, England. It is situated 21.7 miles (34.9 km) to the northwest of the city of Lincoln and in 2001 had a total resident population of 4,359.^[1]

The village of Haxey lies between the villages of Westwoodside and Owston Ferry, forms part of the Isle of Axholme, and is perhaps most notable for Haxey Hood; a local event with over 700 years of history, reputedly making it the United Kingdom's oldest "traditional tussle".^[2]
